    The forecast (SL) is 25-30 ft with occasional 35ft (40ft faces) and good light wind all day. Those are baby waves I guess, and the Eddie is a big wave comp, so no go.

    Ive heard that kook-silver gets the hype train money anyway, so why bother shelling out 75k+ for the contest when the hype/advertising is free?

    Also, same dudes that are in Jaws are in the eddie (mostly) so you cant have both events at once

    I definitely think they are super finicky about running the comp. Conditions definitely need to be ideal at Waimea though or else it's not that exciting to watch. It's just a big drop unless conditions are right, then you can get some barrels and and inside double ups
