Anyone got any info on what El Niño conditions mean for wintertime surf in Puerto Rico?

its always been a bit harder to predict the surf there cause its kinda like the east coast but
took a 'big guy' pill. one thing one of the drunk locals told me and kinda stuck with me was:

WHEN THEY ARE BURNING TIRES IN FLORIDAS' ORANGE GROVES TO WARD OFF THE CHILL IS
    WHEN TRES PALMAS WILL BREAK.

this has been rendered a fable by modern surf-casting; however it still kinda works.

Hey thank God I found this thread. I didn't notice it earlier.

I have to go to a party tonight and it's going to be attended by mainly Puerto Ricans.

I don't have much experience around Puerto Ricans. Could any of you guys who have spent time over in PR give me any tips of how to handle myself tonight. I know it's short noticed, but I'm a little nervous.

Should I leave my wallet at home? What kind of food do they eat? Should I expect any strange rituals or customs?

I have to admit I'm totally clueless about other cultures. LOL !!!

    Thanks guys for your help.

Someone found a case of Kasser's vodka fallen off the back of a truck on Route 3.

I would expect a dismal summer as most seem to be there I'm looking for historical data not the drunk ramblings of yet another drunk hostile Puerto Rican
