puta gringo viajero ….cool story. i'm glad i asked. i also like 'those' kind of stories that don't mention crime or worse. (ideally cause it never happened).
1) Not still teaching, retired in 2007 at 57 after 35 years at it, met lots and lots of talented surfers along the way from Jay Reale and Brian Stoehr (who don't just bodyboard by the way) to Max Hoshino and Vince Boulanger and countless others my age and less. 2) Once the family arrived my travelling became somewhat more sporadic for obvious reasons, but I frequented Hatteras, Florida, Puerto Rico and California a couple times each, Jersey (before they required beach tags),Cape Cod, Narragansett and Pt. Judith, and have found decent waves in nearly all of them, even Florida. 3) Now at nearly 64 it's not as easy as it used to be, but it's still fun and I can't ever imagine living inland, it wouldn't be any fun at all. My main point for all of you is surf now, surf often, cut each other some slack because we were all kooks once, and some of us still are, but get out and get stoked as long as your body will let you because it doesn't get any easier. Most of all, have fun and stay wet.
If your in Sunzal la bocana is best break there. Locals are cool just go there ad figure out the rest. You'll have a blast ad get great waves daily. Never flat there that time of year
