Tasket sucks. Seems like they get a swell every February 30th or so. You'll probably have to trip it to So. NH/Cape Ann, RI, or ME. I've done the New England road trips the last couple weeks to all those spots with the sweller than flat swell and they've been great. There are down to earth SI forumites at all those locales to charge with. Cod can get some love but I really am sick of that place from going there as a kid. It's too piney there as well. Newport and OOB are picturesque. ACK is a spot I have to hit twice before summer's over.

Won't you be spinning round the carousel in Hull most of the week you're here? Hope you do get pinned but I thought you'd be posted up ranchside with Jebediah Buxton and the rest of the fabled cardboard cutouts.

Tasket can be good on a NE swell...after all the drama this morning maybe you guys should let all the intraweb personal stuff go and hit the reset button. Besides, we all know who our resident sage is here.

 

No, not really. I've probably got one of the most if not the most athletic build on this site

 

Tasket has been a multi-year disappointment for me. Never really have gotten it good. I've scored at other spots on the south shore during a good NE swell, but it seems like at least 3 times/year I look at a swell, decide it's got all the makings of a good day at Tasket, and end up fighting traffic for terrible waves.

BCN, in August, unless we get a rare-ish weird E - NE swell, it's probably gonna be coming from anywhere from SW-SE, so heed Emass's advice - most anything in central/southern MA is going to be pretty pond-like (thanks a lot, Cape Cod), save for the S exposed areas beneath the Cape. Summer swells and Massachusetts are not synonymous.

Best part of owning our own thread (thanks Clemmy!!!) is that we call the shots. That includes: shots of Patron, shots through pier pilings, money shots, shots from outside the paint, shots through the heart (80s fist pumping), title shots, cut-off jean shawts, and shawtays.
