Yeah, my best day of the year so far!! Surfed from 6-9. Probably 3-4ft, occ.+. Forecast was calling for ankle biters...

Just shows you how much you should also rely on a cam.

Dudes! I send a drone down to Gruvi's break on AI and blew the sand off the bed rock. That sheet was going off like Mullaghmore! But, sorry dudes. The Corps of Engineers got wind of what I was doing and immediately started a beach renourishment project yesterday afternoon. So, no fear Gruvi--AI is back to mush burgers by now. Hell, some dog even tried to talk to me about New Jersey when I got out of the water--crazy.

    You guys totally missed it!

ok here is the update: i decided to go midnight mission because crowds make me have flashbacks to 'nam and I start cutting off ears and sh*t. It was madness, at least 40ft on the face. The Billabong XXL crew was out filming me until the megladon ate them. My jetski and partner were eaten by crabs and I was saved only by the grace of King Neptune. Way underforcasted, I think I might start a thread to complain about it.

Just read a news article, they had to close sandbridge because I blew such a big load out there last night. http://wtkr.com/2012/07/11/swimming-advisory-issued-for-sandbridge/

what the hell is funking up the water only in a less than 1/2 mile section of the beach??? North winds are pushing the water around so wouldn't there be a bigger section closed off?? It's not like there are inlets, jetties or discharge pipes in the area that would concentrate bacteria in one place. Nor are there odd sandbars that would indicate something other than the standard current moving water in a straight line along the beach.

    Weird.

it was so thick that it is hanging around like an oil spill. I ate a couple thousand oysters before the session
