In early June, I charged a few feet of chop in the Gulf. Less than average EC-type sesh but in 82F water and in a somewhat exotic surf locale it was dope. Only two tides a day is weird and so is only a foot or so of differential from low to high. The bars and topography seemed to be great for when it is cranking there so hopefully I'll see it going off some day.
Warmth in the winter, shade in the summer. Put it on your Bucket List. Waves or not, I've always enjoyed visiting the FL Gulf Coast. Stationed at NAS P'cola 1980-81.
