YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS so glad i just checked this forum. the scariest part of that site is thinking your going to lose it in the 3 seconds it takes to confirm your credit card and address. so sick.
i saw it yesturday and today. what was with the 34 buck shipping though. on surfboards its only 9 bucks????
Yeah pretty confused on the shipping..they offer a rebate on it but it seems like Grade-A 100% scheme that you'll end up getting screwed. Anyone have any reviews on the suit? Makes me a little nervous that they had sooo many of them.
It is just overstock it would have nothing to do with the quality of this specific lot. They are selling them close to cost and making thier profit in the shipping charges. Anytime you see a jacked shipping charge online thats whats they are doing makes upfront look better. Either way $215 is a great price a hyperflex costs $265 so you cant beat it.
Yeah I just priced out a Hyperflex Amp $265 it cost the Flow cost $224. I saw this deal too late I already getting a suit from Hyperflex. But never the less its a awsome deal Xcel make some really nice stuff
http://www.usoutdoorstore.com/outlet/xcel-infiniti-hooded-543-full-suit-wetsuit.html ^has free shipping but backcountry has more sizes http://www.backcountryoutlet.com/ou...l?CMP_ID=SH_FRO002&CMP_SKU=XCL0033&mv_pc=r126
In my frantic attempt to scoop one up, I guess I wasn't really paying attention, but now its come to my attention that the suit my not have a hood..can anyone confirm this?
Took the plunge too on Saturday. From what I can see on the Xcel website, they don't make a 5/4/3 without a hood. And I just double checked my receipt - the suit pictured has a hood and is being called a "5/4/3." Guess we'll see when it comes. Think we're OK though.
Man, I really hope so. .I understand it's all overstock stuff, but if it doesn't have a hood, well then they've got some balls putting a picture up with one. I sent a message to the site, but who knows when a response will come. I'll post what they say.
Thanks rgnsup....that does seem to be the case. Understand the skepticism...I almost bit on Friday when they first came up, but never finished the order. When they came up again on Saturday I figured it was a sign. Looks like we would be out the shipping costs, and the return shipping costs to send it back. On the plus side, I was trying on a Xcel X-Zip 3/2 about a month ago, and the surf shop price was $300. Even if it was a 4/3, it was a good deal for the $$. But it wasn't the deal they offered. That wouldn't be very cool at all.
this seems to be the same suit as in the whiskey sale- http://www.backcountryoutlet.com/ou...l?CMP_ID=SH_FRO002&CMP_SKU=XCL0033&mv_pc=r126 and the description is listed- Material: Ultrastretch neoprene Thickness: 5/4/3 mm Water Temp: Down to about 45F Seams: [Upper body] Fusion seams; [Lower] Pressure-bonded Seam Seal: Fusion seal Zip: X-Zip Hood: Yes Recommended Use: Surfing, wakeboarding Manufacturer Warranty: Lifetime Country of Origin: Thailand
i can swear the one on whiskey militia said no... i'm looking at my order and stuff but it's not giving me any info on the product. i just called xcel, but they're apparently 'closed'... i guess i'll find out friday when it gets here..
Yeah, there's not much info when you go to the site now and check on your order. When I placed my order on Saturday, I printed the final web page that Whiskey Militia showed me because I was still skeptical about the deal being real. (It started with "Nice Work...) At the bottom of the page were the order details and item description. In the item description I have a picture of a hooded Xcel X-Zip 5/4/3 suit, the color I ordered, the size, and an item # - XCL0033. This XCL0033 number matches the item # of the hooded 5/4/3 Xcel suit at Backcountry.com. Hope this helps....and that you were actually looking for a hooded suit!
