Truth. My pops is pushing 80, has had two triple bypasses and a stroke (mild) and still gets his arse in the woods. He taught me early to still-hunt, walk the ridge tops, look in the hollows, follow the sign. Sometimes I think the guys who complain the most about seeing no deer or that the coyotes are killing them all, are just not putting in the extra effort now needed to find them.
It's funny bc I've never eally had the desire to hunt until now. I mean I used to bird hunt w my pa pa but now I feel compelled to provide healthy chemical free meat to my family.
You're more than welcome to come to PA/NJ to hunt anytime homey. Except for the occasional shale drilling site, PA's endless mountains are awesome.
Thanks guys, I just might take you up on that one day. Need to learn the basics, propre butchering technique, etc. And Chavez, I know I keep saying this, but once my pto/vaca time gets re-booted, I'm taking a trip to south jerz, and we're gonna hunt some fockin' waves. After this year I deserve a few days away solo some late winter/early spring.
Good stuff, herrrrmannnnno. The world is a supermarket filled with criminal intent being marketed as food. Kinda playing off your sentiment, I feel compelled to provide healthy chemical free meat (mine) to all my new girlfriends
