So, after a rather frustrating deer season, I finally filled the freezer on Saturday. Filled both my antlered and antlerless PA tags. However, I had to literally carry the doe out of steep ravine so I ended up covered in ticks. Most were those big suckers and were easy to spot. But Sunday night, the ole lady found one of the little deer ticks embedded in my neck. It kinda sketched me out a bit. I even shaved my head and most of my beard off. Anyways, this sucker was in there. She only got the body out she thinks. She's all freaked out telling me I need to go to see a doctor or infectious disease guy. Chavez don't play well with doctors but she insisted. So I went to see a doctor who gave me two pills of some anti-biotic. The doctor, some Asian woman, said that it would stop Lyme disease since it was less than 72 hours. I was staring at her t!ts the whole time, not really listening as to what I should do next. What do you guys think I should do? I normally never go to the doctors for anything but her boobies were sublime. or should I go see a specialist?
An Asian woman with boobies? Sounds like you hit the jackpot bro. better do with the wife tells you to do.
She sorta had this look about her. Only she seemed less than happy at my wondering eyes. I wasn't too subtle. Plus, I said herro and prease. I think that made her mad
I don't know what the protocol for Lyme is, but if you can preempt Lyme, then by all means do it. I've known people that had it and it is not something you want to deal with .. pop those antibiotics as a tonic.. may mess up your BMs (some probiotics will help that.. but don't take in close proximity to the antibiotics), but a small price to pay compared to contracting Lyme. Praying you don't get Lymes ... Btw, I lost the dog that is my aviator to Lymes.
Is her name "Dr. Ho Lee Fuk"? wow... I had this cute little dark-haired Russian doctor once, with Sarah Palin glasses and an ice skater's tush. Sure seems like I spent a lot of time getting checked.
Hey CyC! Glad you filled the freezer. I know you are thankful for that! Definitely don't mess around with the Lyme Disease. The doctor is giving you the chance to avoid a nightmare. I have a client (super successful self made developer) who has Lyme Disease and the outcome was devastating for him. He did all his own drawings etc for his projects, now b/c it tweaked his motor skills so drastically, he can't focus for 5 minutes on anything. Stick with the protocol and +1 on the follow ups to the doctor.
Took my pooch for a walk through the woods the other day and took 60, yes that is SIXTY, ticks off her. Go do the 5 day cycle of the lyme drug. Around these parts its just protocol. Good news is the summer is over so you wont be outrageously sunburned from just thinking about the sun while on the drugs. Good news on the fridge, too. When are you inviting us over for loin chops?
Ticks have been outrageously bad this year. I have had to pull upwards of 50 ticks off my dog in a single sitting this season too. Luckily most are just stuck in his hair still. We have not been in the woods much in the last 3 months due to all the ticks. Wife basically wont even let us. To the beach we go, or a local school or ball field or something. Its sucks because we love the woods, but I would rather not put my boy's or my health on the line. I love that dog too much.
I've had lyme disease, my daughter's had it, my son has had it twice. Half the people I know in NH have had it. It's not bad if you catch it early, 2-4 weeks doxycycline. But if you don't get the early symptoms and it goes untreated, then the shiiit gets bad.
^^^This. Same here. Thought I had it. Got tested. Came back +. Got tested again (there's something like a 50% false positive rate for this test). Came back + again. Went on antibiotics. Had a bad allergic reaction. Changed antibiotics. Got rid of it. Never got symptoms. Go get tested.
how u know if u got lyme disease, there will be a bullseye on the bite.i fukin hate ticks, only thing bad about being in the woods, besides poison ivy. I remember when I was a kid I ran through 1 bush for like 10 seconds,1 fukin bush.came out with 6 ticks on me.thats a world record for me lol.they are indeed scary because u don't really feel them and they bite u and start trying to get inside you.my mother used to test ticks for lyme disease so I know a few things about ticks.big ones aren't that bad and rarely carry lyme, its the tiny ones u have to watch out for
2 days of antibiotics not nearly enough. if you still have the tick you can send it off to get it tested. if positive i would go mass dose of antibiotics 4 weeks and mainline some probiotics
Cocaine and booze along with the antibiotics and titties should do the trick. If you want to be extra careful continue with the cocaine and booze for a few weeks more or until you run out of dough.
Sure sign of Lyme disease which is an insidious neurological disorder that affects the brain. Clearly in your case it impacts the part of the brain that affects depth perception. But seriously, I would see a smarter doctor. Maybe an infectious disease doc if necessary. Read up on tests and treatment in below link. You will se that her treatment was inadequate http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/lyme-disease/basics/treatment/con-20019701 FREE SELDOMME
My wife is a forester in NJ, I'm always in the woods, grass etc. We have had countless embedded deer ticks and have never gotten Lyme disease. My wife has been a forester for over 25 years. We just check ourselves after every outing and remove any embedded ticks as soon as possible.
For those who spend a lot of time in the woods, put yourself on a vinegar regimen. It's not great in terms of taste but if you drink vinegar daily leading up to your time in woods, it will help stave off those buggers!
