Fishing is like surfing. I always get frustrated with my girlfriend when she thinks she can just squeeze in an hour of surfing whenever. There are many variables and you need to be on top of them if you want to really score at all, nevermind score often.

My buddies are like my girlfriend. They want to go fish any spot at the one day of the year that is convenient for them, in the afternoon. On camping trips I can't get them up early, or even to stay on the water late. If there's still a couple weeks till the run, I might be able to get a surfcast setup. 20 lbs... that is bigger than anything i've ever caught.

'on the sods' vs 'under this exact bridge'. the difference between understanding.....and kooking it

Drifted OCMD inlet the last two afternoons and it might as well be August as far as temp is concerned. Was drifting for flounder not bass but it is warm, like 72 degrees warm. Snapper blues everywhere and massive schools of bait swirling around the boat.

Dude I'm not sure what you mean... During the summer I know three bridges that I can drift under in my boat - guaranteed bass- but only during a certain season, tide, time and bait. Some of the best fishing I know of....

agreed. there are a ton of bass that stack up in the shark river all summer but they're just hanging out for the most part. you can catch them if you know the times/tides/areas.

I'm going to fish on Sunday (depends on how much my wife is *****ing at me), and I'll probably get skunked. I enjoy myself anyway, skunking or getting lucky.
