If I had the 10th pick in the first round I might consider Brees. I wouldn't take CJ Spiller until the 5th or 6th round. The Bills Oline sucks and he'll also have Lynch and Jackson stealing carries. I also would touch Larry Fitzgerald until the 4th round. He'll be doubled non stop with Q gone and Leinart shouldn't even be starting in the NFL.
All the "experts" are saying WRs are the "new" RBs... That you need a stud there first and foremost. I still think balances is the key. If you are drafting the the late first round, it probably makes sense to go with a stud WR then a 2nd tier RB, but I have been doing my analysis and the drop off in RBs after the top tier guys is HUGE. There are so few 250+ carry backs, that if you can get one it is gold IMO. I am drafting 2nd, and I think I have to go with AP. BUT, I am seriously considering taking Ray Rice in that slot. I am hoping that someone trades with us and I can get Rice. Flacco will continue to grow, and the addition of Boldin will limit 8 man fronts. But the fact still remains Balt will pound the ball and play D. PLUS, Rice catches a ton of balls. I think he will be in the 2000 all purpose yards, roughly 15 TDs. He reminds me of Westbrook a lot.... Not long speed, but very quick. Great receiver.
So I have picks 10 & 11. What would you do? ....not that too many people care about football with Earl heading our way....qb and a wr?
I would go with to youngins.Shawn Greene and like Zach said Matthews will be a stud.I still think you have to go running backs early.Btw I ended up keeping Moreno over Rivers then went with Greene and Matthews.
