Dude i was thinking the same thing, they couldn't find him for like 3 min. during the award ceremony, and then slater pulled him out onto stage and he had this huge frown on his face. And slater is like, "that was easy!!" Seriously though, what happened to taj in that final? His backup score was a 3.00. Pick any one of the 10 waves he fell on and he could have had a 4.00 backup at least, and taken the event. I like kelly, but i want to see him have to fight tooth and nail for wins, it seemed like he got it easy through the whole contest.
Where are you guys finding these ranks? We all have 0 in front of our names on my dashboard and stuff... I had slater and he won... How do I figure out what my club ranking is as apposed to the over all?
Go to Clubs => Swellinfo Under the first set of windows (club ranking/FS ranking) is My Event Status It should be listed there. Apparently they're still in the process of updating the site and trying to make improvements. It's just really slow to update everything right now. Yeah, I had taj and kelly, so that was an ideal outcome. Glad our florida boy took the crown on Aussie soil/water, once again confirming his status as the most elite competitor on earth.... I was watching slater golf in that Pro-am... Son can swing a golf club too! He is so freaking competitive. Its nuts. He said he just played mad rounds alone, super focused. He is obsessed with golf and anything else that you can beat another guy at! Dude is the man!
So you guys edged me out you bastards! Oh well im right there in striking distance lots of events left. 12 months and alot of heats left...... Will Kelly surf the whole season? Whens Dane coming back? SO now that the competitve juices are firing what are we doing for the winner of our club... I suggest we make the overall lowest place loser pose in a speedo with a pink body board, flippers and swim cap take the photo and leave it posted up here on the site!
In the Semi I only had Ke11y and Jordy I think a number of people got kinda screwed in the earlier rounds. Quite a few "upsets"... I too had 3 guys not make it out of round 3 (at least all 8 were in round 3 though)

i got a little buzzed last night and made an algorithm to pick the optimal selection of surfers expected to perfom the best while maintaining the budget constraints. this is what happens when there are no waves for weeks!!! lets see how well it performs....
