i normally like pepper slightly stoopid sublime seven foot wave rhcp and etc but MGMT just did something i cant explain because i normally dont like that type of stuff
ooOOOoooo MGMT are fun! just got into them. I just try to find some bands from surf flick soundtracks and find some of their stuff. Been working out really well lately
recently have been getting back into Kaki King. she's amazing. tap guitar guru. I heard her for the first time on a radio show called acoustic cafe before the release of her first album "everybody loves you"... probably about 7 years ago now. she's insane with a guitar. for the guitarists - she plays in mostly alternate tunings and comes from the Michael Hedges vien of music. recently she's been going the Keller way of life - check it out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMQ2yNYQ_Z0&feature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKZX6QUgPK0 How about this for a soundtrack? Not that much good footage/surfing but did a quick job putting some together...sorry the NJ part video goes black (still working on some problems!)
TOTAL HATE!! I love that No Doubt song, odd mash-up though, but not too bad. I was just saying that I was tryna get into some fresh bands I never heard
Jamz Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, NIN, or anything 90's grunge. Sometimes if its smaller and the weather is warm some good ol' Bob can't be beaten.
where is the punk love?? Face to Face, Dropkick, Lagwagon, Bad Religion, ASG, Youth Brigade? Does anyone still listen to punk rock anymore?
JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE!!!!!! actually i heard somewhere that Hendrix was autistic... probably had aspergers which would explain why he was such a great guitarist. Bob Marley and Simon and Garfunkel have been rockin my boat lately.
