Chauncey's is the best place in the Ocean City, Md and Assateague area. They're upfront and honest and aren't just out to make a sale. They get repeat business that way and I always try to support them. recruitment agencies in ahmedabad
OCMD--Malibus--Lee is a standup guy and he doesnt carry all big name 'pop out' brands. Chaunceys at 30th is good too but carries too many CI boards. South Jerz where I surf...probably Woodys in WW. There are some killerr shops in OCNJ but I jsut dont know them well enough. x1000 on BB Bombers in the day and would add OC Surf and Sport too.
Surf Unlimited in Ship Bottom when John Gross owned it. Haven't been there since he sold it so I don't know how it is now. Surfers Supplies in OCNJ Brian Heritage can be OK, especially if you go into the Sea Isle shop in the Winter.

Agreed! Dave Shotton at "Freedom Surf" is the man there. he has an awesome selection of boards, equipment & great surf art and appeals to every surfing interest. He is very easy to talk to and makes you feel like you've known him for years every time you visit the store.
Too many CI boards? Too many of the best surfboards on the market? You wan't shops to carry sh-t for boards? I hope you weren't referring to Merrick's boards as "pop-outs."
best boards on the market for California maybe but not for our waves, and they are not Merricks, they are Burtons.
For California? That is without a doubt the most idiotic thing I've ever heard about surfboards. You do realize the west coast gets mush too right? I guess 90% of surfboards should just stay over there and we should all ride WRVs, Wynns and garage shapes. The majority of the best riders in the world ride Channel Islands for a reason...and ride them in many more places than California. Many even ride them in *gasp* the east coast from time to time. How do you even presume a company gets its "big name?" It sure as hell isn't by making bad products. But it'd be ridiculous to buy quality...it's much better to buy from a shaper nooones heard of because of the cool factor...get over yourself. Surf culture is becoming the way it is because it has hipsters like yourself that deny anything remotely popular. And Burton bought Channel Islands to keep prices from sky-rocketing and allowing a bigger bank account...everything else is exactly the same-- Same shapers, same company. But hey, you won't hurt my feelings by riding a piece.
Surfers Supplies in Ocean City NJ. The guys there aren' t trying to just make a sale. It's a more local place so its not usually crowded
Quality? By who's definition? The mags? Some pros? SO you are buying boards based on the magazines and what a few pros ride? Talk about hipster/trendy! Have you ever looked into the glass weights of an off the rack CI? IF you MUST ride one, at least get a custom so you can dictate the templates and glassing. Yep I guess its hip to be riding boards made by a local guy for the last 30 years before CI even got big and moved their R&D to VERMONT. If your CI works for you great. I'm sure your Hollister 'Surf' clothes keep you warm too......
you are ignorant about both board design and wave anatomy but anyway so if thats your context for understanding this topic, then ask yourself, how many of the "best riders" come from NJ and/or spend a considerable amount of water time here in NJ?

So by your guidelines my next car should be a Daewoo or Pontiac rather than a Mercedes or a Toyota because less people drive them? Seems like a good strategy to me! Not once have I even hinted at saying I follow a magazine's trends but It doesn't take a genius to realize the mags show, and lots of people ride Channel Islands for a reason-- quality. I have own and viewed many glass weights of many boards. Sadly, glass weight is only half the factor for durability. Merricks are cured for about 30 days before you can even think about pulling it off the rack, custom or no. So why not have the best of both worlds? Sounds like someones a little butthurt defensive about some sub-par shaper they like to ride because they're 200 dollars cheaper-- remember, Toyota, or Pontiac? Oh yes I love Hollister clothing. Immense observation and original wit you made up on your own there...I'm sure that remark isn't overused. Oh... yeah it is. I feel sorry for the fact you had to lower yourself to talk about clothing-- now I really know what kind of person you are. "Let me wear my 'I surf' shirt to the store!" Who said anything about clothing?
Not true. Slater, the highest paid rider for CI has been offered close to double what he makes for Channel Islands and has turned it down multiple times. The other riders make a horribly low amount compared to their other sponsers. While I'm sure money helps, you've gotta be kidding yourself if you think any more than a half dozen pro surfers are striking it rich...and even then FAR less than any other athlete.
