Last winter, I was riding a board of mine with FCS. It was a real low tide and I when I went to kick out of a wave in shallow water, the fins scraped the bottom and broke the center one in half. These were those carbon fiber fins too, so it seems like it'd take a fair bit of force to break one. Anyway, the fin broke, but the box didnt. I can see where fcs fins dont quite go flush with the board though. I think futures probably better since they are closest to a glass on, and glass on's allow you to get as much turning power as possible out of your board.
