Im blown a way a 40 + year old guy is still doing crap a lot of 25 years olds know not to do. what a waste of air and quite frankly, poor parent
And I am blown away by your grammar and lack of writing skills....is does suck. Ya wanna fight??!!?? <grin>
Look up videos of trestles kids popping boards at peoples faces. Or if it's a long board you can break their back leg with your nose. Either way both people are putting each other in danger. I don't break hard right away because it could of been an accidental drop in, but if it's a known snake get ready, even if you are a million dollar pro, we all gotta get ours.
Nvr been sucker punched in my life. And that's what that screen shot that you pulled was. Gotta read the scene & make the adjustments. That's Life & Darwinism...
As a visitor to Hawaii the locals will burn you & nothing you can do about it. Just have to spend some time & snag some good ones when available. I didn't have any problems on the North Shore but I went out early, watched a bit to feel out the lineup & I also had an elder from the Westside vouch for me with some of the locals on the beach & chat with the lifeguards. I also knew many of the local guys in the water from competitions in California & the East Coast which helps having them set some aside for you. The elder from the Westside also took me over to Makaha & the Westside was flat but just the area is heavy vibes for outsiders. He said a few weeks before I was there he took 2 guys from NJ over & they were following him & accidently cut off a big braddah & at the stoplight the guy snatched the driver out of the window. Luckily the elder diffused the situation by explaining what happened & had the guys apologize. Kelly Slater gets most waves he wants everywhere in the world, but in Hawaii the local guys will still burn you no matter the status if not a true local. The video below shows Honolua Bay local Miles K burn Kelly emphatically @ the 22 second mark. https://youtu.be/4ZhoDUFhjpo?t=12s
CWhite: a haole paddling out @ Westside? Respect, bruddah. I like your style, stick around awhile RadBrad: another great avatar, respect
Some of those Hawaiians are huge, most are actually really cool. Just don't confront them head on, but also don't take no shyte. Choose your battles wisely that's most important. I just keep a huge smile on my face or full grimace, keep them guessing. Also talking to yourself and acting crazy spaz like helps Off the wall responses help too in any conflict It's all a game, a fun freaking game
When you bait someone into throwing the first punch, clown, that does not mean that you then stand there & await its arrival in your grill. Do I have to explain everything these dayz?! Is that how you 'handle' your buoy Colon, by letting him re-shape your grill?
If you're going to invite someone to swing on you, you better be ready to defend urslef. Hands up, defend urslef at all times. Fighting 101.
"Go ahead and take the first swing." guy swings and whiffs "You shouldn't have missed." a$$ beating commences true story
I wouldn't do sh1t if I was burned by a Hawaiian.u are there as a tourist lol and if u want to surf during ur stay, best to keep it cool. those Hawaiians tho,do think they are a bunch of tough guys when they really aren't,when 15 Hawaiians jump 1 Australian by himself, thats not cool, not a fair fight, just an act of cowardness. the worst part of it is,when they come here to the us they are greeted with open arms, everyone watches, lets them take whatever waves they want.u go there ur a 3rd class citizen
I remember surfing in Baja Mexico and one of the locals had a dive knife strapped to his leg and yelling at most everyone when he was riding the wave or when he was paddling back out. The rocks were big and a lot submerged at that break where the leash could get hung up on a wipeout or deep duck dive so that may have been why he had it but needless to say he got the best waves.
