It means it won't hit the EC. It also means that the storms in August will develop quickly now that El Niño is gone and thus very little wind shear to tear them apart. Just found a good resource that showed an interesting stat related to this threadde... 17% of all Cape Verde tropical depressions/storms end up producing surf in our hurricane window here in NJ. That's about 1 in 6, for the record.
