Anyone ever have issues putting a few set of fins in their carry-on? Flying Southwest but never tried before on other trips.

Being paranoid, but I like the idea of spreading my eggs out over 2 bags. Rather than put all my boards 'n stuff all in one bag. 3 quality set of fins is like 150 bones, at least.

    Thanks ya'll

The TSA Nazis will probably think they are some sort of hi-tech ninja weapon and confiscate them, and since you can garrotte somebody with a leash, it'll get skanked, too. If you are taking a wetsuit, definitely carry it on for the trip to your destination and stuff it in a boardbag for the ride home.

Every time I've flown, my boardbags have been searched, too, but only in the USA. Mexican and Costa Rican customs didn't seem to care about the grenade launcher I had in my double longboard bag.

Last winter, heading to Hawaii, they got real suspicious of my fin wallet. Upon further review, they realized they were dumb and allowed me to carry them on.

I carried on a set of fins to Barbados on JetBlue in Feb, so I don't think you should have any issues.
