Does anyone know where they do Firewire repair in NJ?

I checked the Firewire website to only find authorized repair shops in other states. I got a puncture that I will repair myself I just need it pressurized. I don't know of any shop around here that can pressurized it. (monmouth county)

    Thanks!

Are you sure Firewires require being pressurized? I have done many of my own repairs and never had an issue. From what i hear, the valve on the board is only there to make sure there is no pressure buildup in the board when there's a change in temperature or when flying on a plane

No, i am not 100% sure. I have heard mixed reviews on this. But, I was told by a repair shop that they need re-pressure if the puncture was all the way through. I might just have to contact Firewire again and see what they say.

    Thanks

    Repair

I had a logger ride through one of my firewires rails during Bill a few years ago and I took my board to Farias in Ship Bottom, they did a good job...give them a call

Take it to Jamie down in OCNJ. He works out of the Heritage shop down there I think but does the best ding repairs I've ever seen. I took my buckled Firewire to him and it came back looking brand new. Here's a link to his facebook page, you can probably get in touch with him through there, otherwise call the OC Heritage shop and see when he'll be there

i am admittedly biased, but jamie is your best option. he's the best ding guy in southern nj bar none, possibly the best in the state. i saw rob's board when it was at jamie's shack, before & after, & it came out fantastic! (glad you're stoked on it, btw, rob!) jamie's got the full vaccum pump all set up, so while he may not be "officially authorized," he is certianly more than capable.

if you paid full retail price for your firewire you had hell better make sure that theyre offering full repair because those boards are so high tech that repairs to them yourself are almost impossible! def. get in contact with them and see what they can do because if you take that in without getting it repaired itll fill with water and sink like a rock !

    *UPDATE*

Just an FYI....No repressure required. The only time a repressure is required is when water actually gets inside. Pressure is what gets the water out. I was assured that as long no water had entered the board that I can just do a normal repair.
