I'm stoked to be back in the water again catching waves after an almost 20 year absence. I had surfed religously for fifteen years starting in '69, then life intervened. Here's my question. . . In early August, I tried out a friend's Firewire quad fish on some pretty sloppy surf and liked it. I'm 6'02", 195 lbs., and the 6'02" Firewire floated me just fine. I'd like to get an all-around high performance short board and am wondering if another Firewire model might be more versatile. Any suggestions?

yeah i just broke my flexfire model but i am getting another... i would look at the altanetor if u want stability and for a more high performance board, look at the taj or the new direct drive models
