firewire

Well, I can tell you that you should log onto firewire.com and send Mark P a message about what is going on. I am on my second Firewire and have had no such bad luck. They are really good about responding to issues such as yours if you log onto their forum....Especially if you have not had the board long. My boards have shown to be strong, light, and way less prone to damage compared to any PU board-local or not....May-be with the exception of Jimmy K's boards at Greenroom from what I hear. However, when I make a hard bottom turn or hard turn to punch out the back of a heavier wave, I can feel my foot kind of push in a little bit...It does not affect performance and has not been an issue though.
Definitely log on though and write to Mark. Good luck....

 

i had 2 firewires....great for a month.....then both of them got holes and after the initial ding, it basically fell apart....will never buy one again. firewire blows $750 for a freshie, ill buy 2 polys for that price and they will last way longer. Things seem twisted here but correct

 

Yeah, Firewire's are expensive. I have heard some horror stories like you speak of about them as well. Mine, thankfully, has not done that yet. I did get a small ding though that was deeper than it should have been for how it was hit. Honestly, if I had to pay straight out of pocket for one, I wouldn't dot it. I do however love the one that I have and it does live up to the hype.

if you were you speaking of being a rider for the Momentum downtown-enough said. Support real local shops if you are going to go that direction....
