Just bought a quad fish online. It came with two six inch fins and two four inch fins. I think the bigger fins go in front is that correct?

    Thanks for the help.

Yes, the bigger fins in a quad setup go up front.

Are you a big guy? Because that sounds like a lot of fin to me.

there are multiple types of "quad fish" & the placement changes depending on the type. it would help to know which type you purchased.

(on a side note, this is one reason of many why buying a surfboard online is a bad idea. you should support your local surf shop from now on.)

I run fins up front that are close to 6" deep sometimes, but I run them with real small trailers. I'm 220 lbs though. But your not small either.

If the board feels stiff, you can always switch up the fins. Hell, you could even try it with just the fronts in.

I agree with the comments that this sounds like a whole lot of fin. I have three quad fishes (5'8" - 6'2") and they all are more like 4 1/4" front fins and 3 1/4" - 3 3/4" rear fins.

    What fin set is that?

I'm your height and 20lbs heavier and yes thats to much fin. I only ride quads and some good suggestions are the FCS SF4's or Futures VII Q1's. Only time you might want a little more fin are huge hollow days.
