    last weekend at chincoteague; toms cove.
    i have something big on the line;
    it peeled my drag off on a penn 650.
    finally get a handle on it.....lighting starts.
    and not the far-away type. like the here/now/YIKES type.
    so do i fight fish with stick in the air during storm?
    no; cause the next thing it did was snap (!!??) 80 lb. test braided line.....
    end of story.

    I was surfing north of the PB Inlet jetty, going left towards the jetty on my 6'2" shortboard on a shoulder high peak. The board stops dead in the water right after the bottom turn, and I fall off. I grab the board, and it is upside down floating in the water with a 2' Remora attached to the bottom. I tried to whack it off, but it was stuck pretty good, so I karate chopped it on the head sideways with some force, and it flew off the board back where it belongs. It sure looked weird, all squiggly and white, thrashing back and forth attached to my board with its head.

    The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to return soup at a deli! I got about fifty-feet out and then suddenly the great beast appeared before me. I tell ya he was ten stories high if he was a foot. As if sensing my presence he gave out a big bellow. I said, "Easy big fella!" And then as I watched him struggling I realized something was obstructing his breathing. From where I was standing I could see directly into the eye of the great fish! Then from out of nowhere a huge title wave lifted, tossed like a cork and I found myself on top of him face to face with the blow-hole. I could barely see from all of the waves crashing down on top of me but I knew something was there so I reached my hand and pulled out the obstruction! Titleist

    This was one of the links after the video Slashdog posted. To stay on topic, I think the guy was going to trade the bike for some baccala. If you point guns at people, you might get shot yourself. F that dirtbag, he asked for it.
