Those schoolies are getting thick back in the bays. I walked the beach after surfing yesterday throwing a tsunami sand eel and didn't get anything although I did get 2 short strikes. Felt like small stripers.
I did the same thing, but I was throwing a 4" Rapala X-rap minnow... Nothing. The week before, I was killing the schoolie without it. The Suffix braid I just put on worked great! I think the knotting problem I was having was because it was a cheaper braid.
Caught about 20 bass and a bunch of blues in a 4hr blitz today. All different size fish ranging from 25"-40 plus. 40mph west winds perfect for getting the Danny Swimmer way out there. Had multiple attacks on every retrieve. Super fun! Super cold! Arms are spent.
there are few better days than that! I've found a combo of kosher salt, hand soap and lemon juice gets rid of even the worst hand stank, although if you have any open cuts you're in for a treat
Fu*kin a dude... Saw a bunch of dudes with fish again today when I got home. This body of fish is holding pretty strong
When the hell are these fish gonna move south? Probably gonna go right on by like they do every year.

I can't remember the last time we had a good fall...its been a while, with regards to surf fishing. Been a long while since I have caught a hog...always hoped to catch one over 50lb's. Came up short a few times. Becoming almost impossible these days. Plan on hitting the beach this weekend with the family for a little surf fishing. Kinda of a thanksgiving tradition. Sure would be nice to find a fish or two.
This morning was a repeat of radbrad the other day- full on right on the beach! Bass and blues on peanut bunker- every few casts you'd hook up... I only got a short amount of time before work- but it was enough! I haven't had much fishing time lately- in fact in the past few years- not so much... I agree with mrcoop- seems like this is one of the better fall seasons in a while. Actually I would say it seems the best since Sandy which is about when it started going down hill Anyways- totally stoked and thankful for the morning fish!
