I have yet another one about a massive water moccasin which almost bit me. Would you like to hear that one? :)

getting shorts in OCMD as well. Water in the bay at least on the outgoing tide after a couple of sunny days is around 54 degrees.

Rockfish 2-26-17.jpg Stoked you all are catching fish as well. The OCMD surf cam looked weak this morning. I opted to go fish instead. Caught another decent Striper. Im located on the upper bay near the power plant. Any day you catch a Striper up this way is a good day. Still a bit chilly in the morning. Here is to a good spring run. Cheers

Man...ya'll are stoked catching some rock fish. I might have to get out there as the spring season opens up. On a side note, I was chilling out back by the creek this weekend looking at the geese and ducks coming in as they do each year to have some little ones. I hear what sounds like me clearing my sinuses after getting worked in the surf. Then right in front of me, an otter pops up. It was huge. I watched it dive back and forth for 10 minutes...anyway, never saw one here before and it was Kool.

Caught 18 schoolies today in OCMD. Most were 18 - 22 inches with one just over 24. They were all fat, like really fat. Outgoing tide 54 degree water.

Thanks, I did record it, I'll try and get a vid up. I tried out one of my hand made plugs and had 5 or 6 hits without a hook up. Finally right at boat side one got it and I had a short battle before he shook the hook. Don't know how he did that so officially I have yet to catch one on a hand made plug, shlt!

Thanks, I just hate trebles for the fish and more so for my hands. An 18 inch rockfish hooked on the rear treble set, flapping around is really dangerous to who ever tries to lip it, believe me I know from experience.

Here are a couple more, the hookless one was an experiment and didn't friggin work. Needs more ballast to keep it upright I guess.
