flat spell blues

I feel your pain BB. Been blowin' SW for quite a while which doesn't bode well for alot of us on the East Coast. Blame it on El Nino. The bright side is that I saw that a few lows were rolling off of west Africa that could have potential if their tops don't get blown off by upper level shear. I will remain optimistic although I am beginning to show signs of surf withdraw as well.

 

I just went sailing. It was fun. Now im going to eat and play basketball. and drink beers somewhere in this schedule.

 

Surf knee high in am...went out...as long as it's clean and knee or bigger...iam going...but hankering for something more...soooooooon

We've had longboard waves here and there but some big bad cane swell would be nice. Got a new shortboard just begging to be put through the paces.

 

I used to have access to a 26' Annapolis sailboat last century. we'd hang around the Hampton bridge tunnel waiting for freighters. I stand on the plank on the bow and make the king drop going over the wake. It was the closest thing to surfing. I've been thinking harder recently about getting a johnboat and a SUP and hanging out there.

 

Been body surfing with the hand plane for a few weeks now. Definitely turns those sloppy two footers into fun but hoping for something more soon. Bring back early summer!!!!

I was okay for a couple weeks with no surf because I work during the week, then worked 2 music festivals back to back weekends, then the next weekend had to run to NC, and then moved into a new place, but now I can play. COME ON SURF GODS!

Some days are just better than others.

In an hour I'm going for my umpteenth ocean mile swim this summer. It's always beautiful. Maybe I'll dust off the board and take it out for a paddle.

surfed some knee high peelers last night on the log but EC sucks man. thinking about investing full time all my effort into what yankee posted on free travel so I can just continually travel and surf while im still young.. I noticed the best remedy for me is taking the yak out and going ocean fishing... Just wait till fall brotha its not that far away

 

Yeah but with the right outlook you can see that surfing is also nothing like sailing/swimming.
