I've never seen the surfplot line so flat. Not even slight pulse for the 5 day.

Work is slow, school is slow and there are no waves. I am going insane! I have now started to take up snowboarding.

    help us

This is brutal... I'm outta work and am running out of things to do. I've nearly filled up my sketchbook and repainted my skateboard I'm so bored. If you people pray, then pray, we need to catch some kind of a break, the last few swells to come through were teasers, here one day, usually gone the next.

ya, I'd say its been a pretty darn lame winter all together for the Mid Atlantic. Some fun medium size waves, but nothing too special. Flat spells on the east coast have been known to be broken up with a big one, so we'll see... Long range charts show a potential swell for the beginning to middle of next week.

Its only flat when your lazy!

All you kids will learn someday. If you pray for waves, you don't believe in god-so don't waste your time. And if you are waiting for waves, you are stupid. I love to surf. But I am not waiting for waves. Do something constructive. Train your ass off. Get in the pool and swim, lift weights, run the trails with a log, go bike or even snow board if your really bored (I would rather not snow board little hills covered in ice myself!) Make some money. Save up your sick days. Have a side buisness for these flat relms and contribute to society in some way shape or form. I can remember weeks when I was younger saying, SH!T...if the waves don't don't stop coming I am going to get fired. But never should you put your life on hold for flatness. Seriously, do something. It aint that bad. And if you have ever surfed with me, or my brother you will recognize the wave count we get and say to your self, "I should have trained my @ss off so I could paddle against that current, or out the back, or into that last wave! Just think about how out of shape you are. And Micah, you better be swimming. I kind of like flat spells, It lets you get your ducks in line. I would really like to surf every day from 5:30 am untill 8:00 am and then make art work the rest of the day. BUT THAT AINT HAPPENING NOW IS IT? So...I wait...I save...It comes...Marathon Session...Start over! Welcome to the east coast suckas! Blah Blah Blah...

It sounds like someone hasn't gotten any waves in a while :)

Since it's flat perhaps you should utilize this time to find another outlet for your pent up frustrations. I personally enjoy Sudoku puzzles. They keep the mind sharp while giving you a sense of accomplishment once they are complete. Of course staying in shape, whether it's swimming, skiing, running, etc, is also a good option. Or an even better option would be to stare at a website that hasn't been updated in the past 6 months and that keeps promising updates...

or just keep refreshing the swellinfo forecast page, and hope that a swell appears.

    but, sudoko works too...
