anyone else having problems? This year has been horrible. I've used K9 Advantix on my old dog for 10 years and never had 1 flea. this year there's a lot. We contacted the vet we buy from and he told the wife to contact the manufacturer. the message said there was a 1/2 hour wait.

Use Revolution instead. It's not oily like Advantix and I find it works better.

And yeah, really buggy down here this year. Can't even keep my little compost collector in my kitchen for more than a day without fruit flies magically appearing...

It's so friggin' buggy up here this year too. Last time I was mowing the lawn I was convinced I had a wheel barrow full of water in the yard or something, nope, just a $hit ton of skeeters. Knock on wood, my dog and cat are fine, I use frontline and revolution. Really ready for fall at this point.

the difference in the flea poison is that I got it from the vet and not Care A Lot pet store. I called to talk to the vet twice to see if I could apply something else since it hasn't been 30 days. no answer. the nurse said there was an oral poison.

there is a pill (can't think of the name) you give your dog once a month. Never had issues after that. The vet will know the name.

Revolution is prescription only from the vet.

1/2 hr wait for a flea preventative manufacturer??? I wonder if it was a bad batch and others are having problems. I've had no problems with advantix. I'd be leary of the oral stuff. I've seen enough stories of bad reactions that I'd try something else.
