Have cousins in that area and just saw facebook pics of the beach. Looks like portalet water. There is no excuse for this!

FYI to some of the negative nancy's posting on here I know a lot of young people fighting the good fight for mother nature and getting a lot of flack from old farts sitting around doing nothing but *****ing. Change never comes from the old.

WEll All I can say , and my point is this. As of now I am right , that's right me,me,me Until I see big sugar held accountable for diverting water then I'm right and you are wrong! Me,Me, Me!!! I graduated from high school here when I was fifteen and I don't think the educational system has taken one step forward in 40 years. Betty you may be right about poor history teachers, might even of had the same one. Whatever happened to occupy (insert name here) Isn't that a form of your modern day love ins or whatever you called them in the 60's Let's get high and occupy ! That's my new slogan so nobody steal it ! it was coined by me. ME,ME,ME!

No, most definitely NOT!! The Occupy morons, their cause was for themselves. The antiwar movement cause during late 60s early 70s was about others!! It was a re-affirmation of American values; Occupy is about destroying American valus. Totally different!!

Obamas fault that the voters voted to spend money to buy land so the lake wouldn't dump into the ocean and lagoon, but Rick Scott took that money to pay salaries....right....nice try Rick.

Almost two years ago Amendment One was approved by three quarters of Florida voters and we still have nothing to show for it. I don't know anybody who admits to voting for Rick Scott yet he was elected governor twice. Who keeps electing these assholes?

We the people stopped more nuke plants here in Florida from being built by effective protesting. We the people marched for civil rights and prevailed. We the people stopped the Vietnam War. We the people got equal rights for women. We the people got beach access and cleaned up beaches and the Boston Harbor and have restored dunes and estuaries up and down the entire east coast. We the people will not let this abomination stand.

They can point fingers at each other - Gov Robber Baron Big Sugar Cock Smoking Crook Scott and The Venerable Army Corps of Engineers and their legion of dredge and fill patrons. The dyke around Lake O (Army Corp - federal) is not the issue. The issue is the water needs to go south, into retention marshes that were mandated by we the people to be bought from big sugar to filter the water as it travels south through the Everglades as nature intended it to flow. That is a state issue. Gov Republican Crook and his minions and the retarded voters of this state you bunch of New Yorkers go back! are to blame. You we the people suck. You we the people don't deserve to live here, or live anywhere but a garbage dump.

It is incumbent on the good people of Florida to tell their sanctimonious Republican asshole friends and neighbors to vote these bastards out, or go back to where ever they were spawned.

Sisurfdogg out! Peas and waves ya'll.

So if I have not made it clear: If you are not willing to fight for mother ocean here in Florida, you don't deserve to enjoy her bounty. Just go back home to wherever you came from and don't come back. If you don't live here and want to chip in your negativity, save it for your own cesspool *****es!

found this one, not sure if someone posted it but was cruising surfline after a fire and found this,

thought the homies on swellinfo would have some input.

**** this ****, we need to find a way to produce an economy that benefits our planet and economy, not hurt it. The fact that such a bounty of nature like the floridian coastline could be ****ed up by some inland mother ****ers is just plain sad.

That is okay. One of the "values" I refer to is that you can have your opinion even if it is disagreement with others. I would say that makes you a good citizen!!
    Cheers.

Hey One of you guys are a bible thump away from being a bible thumper. we all came from somewhere . Exchanges in ideas is what leads to change. Just because someone doesn't see things the way the popular opinion see's things doesn't meen you kill them off (kIng George). So I guess what you said is I can't use the ocean? This is the land of entitlements folks and you helped create it in some small way. So I think I am entitled to what ever it is I want even more than most of you. I did my part for this country and continue to make this place a better place for all of us( well most of us) . We the people was a great thought by our founding leaders who set up a system of checks and balances for power. Did anyone consider attending any of the hearings proposing changes in the shedding of water from the run off of the sugar mills or how and when the water is released and where the purge of water from lake O should go? Maybe you did? I was there for a few of the meetings and it was very disturbing to listen to a plan that is set up to fail, Politicians of any kind are untrustworthy to say the least. What you missed was the war that goes on here in our own country( Betty) ( yes it's mine also surfdog ). The impact we make can only cause change when people like us place ourselves in positions of power ( barry) and remove the corruption that currently leads our state and federal government , or any part of the government.

If a difference in opinion divides us then what unites us in the fight to keep our waters safe for the generations to come? I may not be the most intelligent person on this sight ( may be in the bottom 1% )but I am a part of the community that exchanges ideas and pokes the bear once in a while to see if it gets angry, and when it does that's when we accomplish something bigger than ourselves.
I probably shouldn't smoke when I write this stuff , I keep going back and deleting some of the dribble I put down.
I had a retarded friend in high school ( we may have been in the same class) who had a unique quality of simplifying things. If we were half as smart as him man we would be so far ahead! That dude was one strong son of a ***** for sure !

Anyway try to open a new vision instead of just co signing with whatever sounds good at the time. It's o.k. to think differently and be unique. It would be interesting to read about this kind of activity on here instead of when it's news worthy and mainstream in the media.

Frankly I am shocked that Governor Scott, our fraudster in chief, recently accepted $100,000 bribe, I mean contribution, from USSugsr. After all, Scott's personal wealth is $119 Million...So, what does he need 100k for.
