Seriously though ... aside from the lack of barrels, is FL really considerably worse than Jersey?

one night I was skating at 2am from dairy and Eber blvd to my peaceful abode down university blvd. DPSUP, if you havent been down university in Melbourne, I suggest you check it out, its right up Rileys's alley

so IM skating by the botanical gardens on Babcock by Florida tech, and this dude pops out of the bushes at 2am

Obviously I am horrified and try to pick it up a notch skating faster than a drunk ever skated before, and I must have hit a rock or crack or something as I was dodging a white van pulling out of a driveway to make a left on Babcock avenue

I fly off and my sh1t gets pushed in...all the way in.
and I wake up a bit later sans wallet and skateboard, with raspberries on my forearms and forehead

I didn't get any pics, I'm surfing south central part, probably 40 or so miles from you I was surfing a deeper beach break that can handle a big swell. Yes. the water is sill very warm, there are still a few jellies out there too
