Within this post lies a solution to many conflicts. I've always felt that when folks have a difference that might escalate they should step back and burn a fat one together. Seriously, how many times have you seen people get in a fight after sharing a doob?

If you thank about what drives money to the NRA it wouldn't boggle your mind. Laws giving additional tools to further restrict second amendment rights to individuals simply suspected of something by law enforcement agencies represents an erosion of absolute gun ownership rights, and an increase in the reach of law enforcement. This is exactly the kind of thing that the NRA opposes because their base has no confidence it won't be abused. Saving lives isnt their concern.

I wish it was P. Like I said in my first post on dis here thread, FBI/CIA need to tighten up on "the list". But, I still don't think we need to intertwine the "dropped ball" on this guy and "broad based gun control". Last thing about guns I will say is, the genie is out of the bottle. It would take 50 years to get all the guns (all semi-autos) out of society. In the meantime, that is 150 homegrown home grown attacks (super conservative since we are just entering this era) at the rate we are going.

Did anyone hear about the list of no fly folks being erased or the admin pushing CIA/FBI to do so?

Yeah a bigger police state than we already have is the solution. Really?
If you made rounds $200 a pop, the result would be an underground market and manufacturing.
People are already making 3D printed assault rifles.
Just like booze and drug prohibition, restrictions and hefty prices won't deter Terrorist.

Well, perhaps not a fix for everything but it sure would smooth out a lot of the rough edges ;)

Exactly. Stay in your lane, Sniff. Come back when you ready to have a real discussion about a cause/effect and solution. Seems like now all you want to hear is your own opinion spit back in your face. I tried to have an intelligent conversation, oh well.

This is a tough one. I don't want guns in the hands of mentally ill people. The problem is that how do you determine that especially if they never talked to anyone. Then, it is heresy and anyone can be called mentally ill. It wouldn't surprise me if the government used that card to take guns away from people who are not mentally ill. The other option is to allow them to review everyones health records which I'm sure won't fly due to people like their privacy but the patriot act has already destroyed our privacy.

It's a hard one but I see where you are coming from. It does blow my my mind that all these people on the terror watch lists got guns. That should not be allowed but then you hear about people who shouldn't be on these lists because of the mistake of a government agency. The government loves mistakes.

If there wasn't so many questions and it was definitely accurate, I could see not allowing people on terror watch lists and mentally ill people have guns. People just fear our government and don't trust them. They decide who are on these lists (that is scary).

Maybe sending Muslims home is the best solution. They can beat them economically. They don't care about that. They want all infidels killed and that is their mission. Another option is to kill their families like Trump said. Maybe if this last dude's dad gets crucified the old fashioned as a warning, maybe these people wouldn't go on rampages knowing their family members would die. Ah, never mind on that one. They don't really care about anyone except killing in the name of Islam.

Archy you are a little off the wall sometimes but this is definitely on the money. I can't even begin to imagine the underground gun industry if we adding laws for who can get guns. It would definitely turn into a similar industry as the drug issue on the Mexican border. No thanks.

I agree with most of this but it's also not that easy. Have you been to a night club before? Are you saying open carry should apply in the night club? Just curious because I've been at clubs where you have seen gang bangers and see fights often. If people are armed there, that could get chaotic. Then again, I wouldn't go to night clubs if that was the law. Pass it.

Read up on the patriot act and how an American citizen can be determined a terrorist by our government without any proof. Don't **** a congressman daughter or he might put you on the terror list. Oh and they got hold you and you don't get a right to a phone call. I believe this guy shouldn't have had a gun but it's difficult especially with things like the Patriot Act. That's why people should never let the government mess with the 2nd amendment.

You're racist. Muslims call it pot, terrorist. Keep trampling on the constitution now. Taking away rights. Let me guess. Under 30 and unemployed who loves Bernie Sanders. And working for a relative doesn't count.

Now it's being reported his wife knew that he was going to do this attack and tried to talk him out of it. She is being "considered for criminal charges".
