I'm guessing u guys are talking about the Orlando shooting, but I'm seeing fishing stuff lol..

just wanted to rant a little.

anyway this shooter was on a "fbi watchlist"........the boston marathon bombers were on a watchlist.and just about every criminal terror attack including san bernadino and whatever else happened were on watchlists.

this goes back to the whole Edward snowden thing with "we are being spyed on".well being that the last 10 terrorists were on a watchlist and the gov did absolutely nothing and let it happen, should we still have this state of surveillance?

obviously it isn't doing jack shyt and its literally billions of wasted taxpayers dollars.again,BILLIONS!!

so its not safe to go to school,go to the movies,go to the mall,be gay lol,go to a nightclub.is it even safe in your own home?i don't think so.

so everybody call ur local congress member and thank them for all the tragedies they let happen with their "watchlists."lol I wouldn't be surprised if a few of us on here are on watchlists.so while the gov is busy spending billions of dollars to read about "how to properly leashe" and what kind of "wetsuite" u should wear, another muslim will go shoot something up.

The only thing that should scare us is that we have morons like you in our midst, aiding and abetting the enemy as you are.

No--Ali was a great boxer, and an exception to the rule.
You, on the other hand, are a real moron. And a traitor as well.

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

So, now that were all paranoid and up in arms so to speak. Why not deputize everyone that wants to carry a weapon? (with a psychological and background check of course)

A militia /mᵻˈlɪʃə/[1] generally is an army or other fighting unit that is composed of non-professional fighters, citizens of a nation or subjects of a state or government who can be called upon to enter a combat situation, as opposed to a professional force of regular, full-time military personnel, or historically, members of the warrior nobility class. Unable to hold their own against properly trained and equipped professional forces, it is common for militias to engage in guerrilla warfare or defense instead of being used in open attacks and offensive actions.

    and this to defend...

14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

The 14th Amendment to the Constitution was ratified on July 9, 1868, and granted citizenship to “all persons born or naturalized in the United States,” which included former slaves recently freed. In addition, it forbids states from denying any person "life, liberty or property, without due process of law" or to "deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” By directly mentioning the role of the states, the 14th Amendment greatly expanded the protection of civil rights to all Americans and is cited in more litigation than any other amendment.

Proud to live in a nation of "free thinkers".
Promote unity, and not division, and keep em loaded!

Oh thank Mr. oh so enlightened Sniffer! Thank you for helping me see the light. Like Hilary is the only one trying to take away freedom. Drop the self-righteous "wake up" crap and actually make some sense. They are doing this to take away our 2nd amendment rights? You can't truly believe that, right?

Do you even know how Israel came to be a sovereign nation? How the Middle East was divided after WW1? You don't think perhaps these intrusions on their land have more influence on their current sentiment towards westerns than the 2nd amendment? I am not condoning what they have done, or trying to empathize with them. I am just pointing out that there are other, some might consider legitimate, reasons for the Arab hatred for the West. This is without including the religious zealots for which there is no excuse or understanding their reasoning. When you mix the historically angry with the religious extremist, this is where we end up.

I would also argue that the key to defeating the evil powers at be in the Middle East is thru their economies, not thru military might. Very similar to what they are trying to do to us. They cannot win via strength so they are using fear to try and disrupt our economy (by making us bankrupt the country in a 30 year war). I would argue that the easiest way to kill the snake is remove the blood, the oil. If America revolutionized the Energy sector, much like we did the communications sector in the 90's, you would do far more damage than carpet bombing any country. If America held the technology for cheap, sustainable energy and could sell it to the rest of the world, what would the middle east export? Camels? The royal families that fund these extremists groups income would dry up, and when the money stops, the party stops. Perhaps, instead of fighting Tesla and solar power tooth and nail, we should subsidize them like we do sugar-cane farmers here in my great state of FL.

Just some crazy thoughts. Apologies on the rant, just cleaned my rig so may have gotten a little too high this evening.

Disclaimer: I am not a liberal, I just try to use logic and not emotion when analyzing things. I am not anti-2nd amendment. Although I do not own a firearm, I will fight to the death for your right to own one.

Death may not be a determent but what if it was a little harder to get firearms that make it easy to take a lot more people with them.
Would that be so terrible? Would it take away from our freedoms if known nut jobs couldnt get guns?

If it was harder to get guns, they would find some way else to kill en mass. like bombs.
    what's your solution to that?

Again. You say if we make it harder to get guns they will just get bombs so just let them have guns. Where is the logic in that?

Let them have guns? What about the law abiding American who wants to defend themselves against Radical Jihadist?
If you were not aware there is a war on Islamic Extremists, and now they are on American soil and openly calling for death and destruction of the free people in this nation.

So you are saying we should allow them to arm themelves so we can defend ourselves against them?
Wouldn't it be easier to just not let them get guns?

Now that we have determined your desires, how would you go about your "final solution"???

Is that why we allow the mentally ill to have guns too? Or the depressed white college students who can't get a date? We need to grant them rights to have guns so we can have them too. Just in case they go crazy and start shooting up the movie theater?

Or should we figure out a way to limit their access to guns so they don't kill a bunch of people?

Wow Barry how worldly you are, one book and 2 others you conveniently forgot. You didn't answer my other question however, how many do you interact with on a daily basis. The Internet and tv does not count.
