Rain, thunderstorms, and knee-high waves. I know, we rule.

Actually, Friday and possibly Saturday will be clean, waist high, with high 80's air temps. And the best part will be the 75F water temp.

We've been getting waist high waves in Delmarva pretty much since last Friday. The water has reached 60, air temps in the 70s. I've surfed in a 3/2 without boots for the past three or four sessions over a couple weeks...as far as I'm concerned...thats warm enough. But yeah...we wont be trunking it till mid June this year.

We were at 60 in the water a few months ago. Your forecast is a lot nicer than ours:

However, New Smyrna is pretty good too, with added warm water bonus.

You won't find much footage of JAX on the interwebs, it's not as popular and well documented as New Smyrna and some of the other areas. From what I understand (from a buddy who lives there) there are quite a few "secret" spots that aren't talked about much but i'm told they go off as good as anywhere in Florida / Jersey. I personally I don't go any further North than Ponce Inlet typically, plenty of footage of that place if you look around. To answer your question i've never surfed Jersey, never had the desire, just seen lots of videos and pics over the years and talked to yous guys. I'm sure it's more like splitting hairs when it comes down to it honestly, and we all love our hometown (most of us anyways), so to each their own right?

Yeah Friday is looking good for up here...chest high and clean just like last Friday.

But believe me i'm not making the case for Delaware in the NJ/FLA debate. Delaware has always been inconsistent and we've lost 2/3 of our decent breaks to beachfill in the past 10 years.

so you live in tampa, an area that is lakelike 98 percent of the year. you've also never been to jersey, much less surfed it and you've also never been north of ponce inlet. basically talking smack about a subject you know nothing about while telling others who do know something they're idiots.. respect bro, you are a true floridian.

Tone it down there young buck. It's you who doesn't know what there talking about more like. I WORK in Tampa, I don't surf there idiot, there aren't waves actually IN TAMPA, F'ing moron. Look, I surf every week on the East Coast, and I surf the Gulf in between those sessions during the week when there is any swell. I travel 2 to 2.5hrs each way, so 4-5hrs round trip EVERY week to get waves, and I make it as efficient as possible by hitting the closest but best spots in the state. I have no need to go anywhere else when that's where it's the most consistent. Lastly, I don't have to surf NJ to know how good FL is, I never said anything bad about NJ, so get over it. Why don't you go play in traffic and let the adults talk.

I didn't read any "smack" in DawnPatrolSUP's post and I don't blame him for not wanting to go all the way up to jersey just to surf your "superior" breaks.

Having lived in southeast FL for several years, I've dealt with plenty of jersey shore clones and most of them sucked at surfing...and god forbid you give them any criticism because they'll take it as disrespect or be offended

why would a 'core' jersey surfer go to the flat southeast of florida? seriously guys, travel more and you'll realize you live in the 7th circle of surfing hell.

Takes one to know one right? Aren't you the jackass college kid who believes all the conspiracy theories your professor is teaching? Good luck in life, you're gonna need it, cause when you hit the real world, you'll find out what you "learned" was all a lie and you'll have a lot of catching up to do.

My apology, got you mixed up with Trevolution of whatever the hell his name is... i'm sure you can see the similarities Travy. Big deal, you travel, I went to PR twice in the last 6 months, so what. And i'm so sure you left for those reasons, the weather most certainly does NOT suck, and it's a ridiculous statement coming from someone in NEW YORK of all places, which has some of the WORST weather. Please, you fools come down to Florida to excape that rat pit you call home. Just stop it already. When you all are crying about wearing your 6/5/4, 5/4 or w/e you wear, we're down here in trunks or spring suits. Oh, tell me how long you've been surfing again, that made your whole post.
