hey wayne are u near cocoa beach?i wouldn't be surprised if my family down there knows u,they are big hypocritical Christ jihads down there dedicated to the word.jesus this jesus that,i don't think jesus would want to live in florida too
...and, our own Surfing Sandusky pipes in. Good job. Just like a seagull, you come in and crap all over everybody and fly away.
Why couldn't Wayne be from Bama or Georgia? Why did it have to be FL? Why? Wayne you are all that is wrong with this state.
State full of transient residents. Tons of nice beach, not so much nice surf. Best fishing you'll find in the states. 80 degrees and sunny 90% of the year. It could be worse.
Don't go to Ft. Pierce "D" street, or anywhere from A thru R streets unless you want rock or meth or a little hooker w/aids action...heard they are shipping bodies through UPS now....oh just kidding about shipping bodies.
This is why everyone thinks Florida is full of a bunch of redneck bible beating Jesus freaks who have nothing better to do than burn textbooks, ban science, and look down on everyone who is different than June and Ward Cleaver. Just stay out of my state. If you were not born here, move. You bunch of stuck on stupid mouthbreathers, go the f home. I-95 north! Go back. And shut up! And please learn how to surf somewhere else! God loves you, but Jesus would slap the $hit out of you. Just stop it.
Meaning, you've been 'away' courtesy of FLA CPS, you friggin skid mark perv. How was the prison ministry, waynetheinsaaaaane? Or were you just screaming 'ohhhhh hayzeeeeeus' because some of the bruthas had you bent over a bunk?
spicoli, you need to get laid a lot more than you're getting, dood, you exude geeky frustration & Vaseline. waynetheinsaaane's ministry version of californication in FLA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbtwVxMHkw4
I have nothing but fond memories of my times in the Sunshine State - going back to when my family spent two weeks during our summer vacation driving through the state (I was 13), to my last trip there in 2011. Much of my time in FL was spent on the Gulf Coast. A few months after college and entering the Navy, I was stationed in P'cola during the early 80s for training. Some good times: white sand beaches, windsurfing and Sunfish sailing in the bay, ice cold beer and oysters on the half shell, steamed shrimp, drinking rum punches on the beach with vacationing college girls from Alabama and Louisiana, downing hurricanes in Rosie O'Grady's while listening to Dixieland jazz... Years later, it was visiting my grandparents in Ormond Beach, snorkeling with my Dad at Pennekamp and sailing a Hobie 16 in the Gulf, fishing with my wife and Dad off Ft. Myers (my wife caught the biggest fish that day - a grouper), eating grouper sandwiches with wife and my folks at a waterfront place in Sarasota, collecting seashells (and no see-um bites) on Sanibel Island. More recently, it was work-related trips to Panama City Beach and Titusville. Don't remember much about the meetings, but I can still feel, hear and smell the balmy breezes rustling the palm branches in the evenings while sitting on the beach watching the distant lightning in the clouds. In 2005, Make A Wish sent us to Disney World in Orlando for a week. All expenses paid. Our youngest daughter has special needs. She loved it. We still talk about that trip. Other than the first year and a half in the Navy, my time in Florida has been as a visitor/tourist. This may explain my perspective. But my wife has made it very clear that she has absolutely no interest in ever moving there upon my retirement. I bring it up now and then. She's afraid of the bugs, the snakes, the gators, the hurricanes, the pythons in the Glades, the sinkholes...
[ God loves you, but Jesus would slap the $hit out of you. Just stop it.[/QUOTE] Can I get an amen bra!!!
Good stuff Dosxx, there's a lot to love with this place, and plenty of things that make me shake my head. You and your wife wouldn't be wrong for retiring here, it's practically the retirement capital of the world. Tell her not to worry about the bugs, the gators, the pythons or the sink holes. Hurricanes are legit, but that's a concern anywhere along the coast. All that other stuff I only read about in the papers. It depends on where you are looking to live though. I was born and raised here, lived in the same area for 33+ years and never had an issue with any of the above. Now if we could get Wayne to move back home to New Jersey where he belongs, the state would be a safer place...
If you move to a barrier island, the bugs and snakes and gators are not so bad, except now and then. No sinkholes. So far. I'm trying to get my wife to move to Panama for retirement, she's not gonna have it for the same reasons your wife doesn't want to move here. We have lots of nuts living here, but you and your family are welcome, as far as I am concerned.
