Oh come now, Zachary, lets not be so dramatic with the northern winter surf experience. You ain't gonna catch no hypothermia.

Yeah, surfing up north in February might take a bit more discipline than other locales, but shucks if I can muster it up so can all y'all.

Don the 5 mil, walk over the dune, enter water, embrace the initial frozen shock, whenever it happens, and then surf. Exit water when cold or bored. Ain't no biggie.

And living the beachy "lifestyle" can happen anywhere, even in New Jersey......in January.

Yeah, it ain't Beach Blanket Bingo, but it's wearing the latest Volcom* flannels or hoodies........

It's aboot sniffing glue, and walking the beach on a deserted winter's day. Getting lost in your glue-enhanced thoughts, as you purposely wander the sands searching for nothing and anything. Scanning the horizon, looking for England, as the cold sand blows down the beach with each and every northerly gust. It's feeling the wind whip in your face, fresh and clean, as you tighten the draw strings of your Volcom* hooded sweatshirt.

It's aboot walking through dunes and trails pretending you are in Northern California, before surfing some foggy 3 foot, ice cold, glass. Scouting for wayward NW hippy chicks over the dune line, and hoping there ain't some rogue white shark, who shunned North Florida, cruising around looking for them New Jersey winter-time seals.

It's aboot huffing gasoline, and fishing off a heroic jetty looking for winter flounder (is that cool, fishy guys help me out?) , and staring at the town across the inlet from where you are perched. Just staring, looking fantastic in your new Zip-up Volcom* hoodie your mom got you for Christmas.

It's aboot surfing crisp, well-groomed nuggets on a blustery day, when everything comes together to offer skate-ramp, shred bowls at your favorite jetty.

It's aboot freezing, shaking and shivering, as you climb out of your wet suit, at dusk, as the wind whispers silently across the bays and marshes as it makes it way out to the Atlantic, and then getting that warm bliss flow over your entire body as the car heater starts to chug away.

It's the soothing silence of a Jersey beach town, as the light fades on a Tuesday evening, as you smoke PCP, post-surf, with the dudes who frequent your favorite jetty. There's a special kind of silence - a deafening peace almost - as the day turns to night on the mid-Atlantic and New England coasts

It's the smell of burning wood, as you drive down lonely roads, deep in the pine barrens, after a day of Jersey surf navigating. It's feeling the soothing glow from the soft fluorescent lights radiating from random house that sparsely dot the pines, as you carelessly drive by......

    * ZACH !! I used Volcom in special honor to you and your ongoing feud with Volcom team riders.

You gratuitous freak. You don't have a job. No one would employ a known child molester, even in FLA, and that's you waynetheinsaaaaane. You sponge off people & work people for 'donations' to your bullshiiiite pagan ministry of molestation, you sit there on the beach at dawn mumbling incantations to your bronze age myth aka satan.

Butt in all actuality you're keen to collect money, moolah, dinero, mammon. You do nothing good for humanity. You're likely nailing your poor pathetic woman right now for pregnancy #15, child #9. Oh wait.......the abortions were gawd's will....?!?
