Delmarva sea fog has been going on for awhile... not sure of anywhere else. I haven't seen fog go on for this long before.. It also hasn't rained in a while. Weather aficionados please explain
Fog, is a stable cloud deck which tends to form when a cool, stable air mass is trapped underneath a warm air mass,but could be many other easons,,ocean temp,humidity,dew points,rapid heating or colling of ocean,etc
warm land, cool damp easterly flow off a 60 degree ocean. The two air masses collide near the beach and forms fog.
There's always waves when there's fog. Plus, you get to pretend you're in Northern California. Though we don't get that heavy of fog so you need to get yourself a lil' hazy for the full experience.
Global warming, what else??!!?? Call Al Bore for an explanation; he will have 2 Harvard Grad students write up an explanation for you, and then sell it as his own scientific work in a book. It will even fool the morons in Oslo, who will then give him a Nobel Prize. So, give him a call!! He da man!!
