growing up, my dad always used to tell me, "the ocean can change faster than a bruce can become a caitlyn."
Yeah - forecasting sights that rely on model output with no analysis = garbage when the systems get the slightest bit complex. Here's one location near me with a forecast for every few hours this weekend for it to go from overhead clean conditions, to ankle high, to chest, back to ankle, then shoulder. The entire time, the winds are forecast to be in the 35 knot range from the same direction. LOL.
She's moving fast, gonna be one of those swells where you just camp in the parking lot until it's right then get on it quick.
I wonder what the wind speeds are during those green conditions? Micah once told me something like "above 30 knots should never be green colored even if straight offshore" because we all know what 35 knot offshores are...sh!t.
Got to wonder, it's so rare to see a forecast like it looks in the mid-Atlantic. I guess I have to take the whole week off! My shoulders are going to be killing me...lol
