SI Admin please for the love of all that is holy do not make Wayne a mod! There is no way he can not be biased against those who do not follow his beliefs. Anytime someone does not follow his way he quotes scripture to them. Not being a jerk for real here just saying that would be like making Roy Stuart a mod or even worse making that Rcarter idiot a mod.

 

Make him a moderator. Then we will have Christian Sharia law governing our holiest surf predicting site. This will be a swell way to keep things clean and hole some.

 

If you let the people hash it out on line you will have the ORDER OF NATURAL SELECTION as it was meant to be-Darwin!

Just my two centavos: I get jumped all the time on this Forum, but it doesn't bother me. Some of the stuff posted here is really hilarious, very original & some of it is off the wall. There is also an evolving self-policing aspect to the SI Forum, IMHO, that seems to actually be working. Why not let it roll & see what happens?

Anyways, some real cool guys on here along with some total flakes who wouldn't put a sock on it if you paid them to. Kinda like any lineup in the world, eh....?

Observation: the last time there were 'appointed moderators' on SI it was a disaster. Mods were guys with agendas, guys deleting posts on an arbitrary basis, guys who couldn't spell, guys who silently read PM's & then took sides on topics.....it was another level of bizarre, actually. And when people stop coming around to the site....clicks fall off.....advertisers notice.....just sayin'......

BTW, who are the new mods?

 

Would I get another infraction for reviving "Dumping in the Water". Who is the rebellious soul that has it in them for that?

Seriously, I make a thread about how forecasting will improve and now I am one of the Swell Info bad boys? I was convinced that would take me straight to the halls of power, but now I am in line to be banned. Is reviving old threads a bad thing? I once asked about a Roberts White Diamond, thus restarting an old thread, but it helped me (kudos to njsurfer42 on his recommendation). What about the nomad thread. Seriously, no matter what has been going on in this forum lately, the nomad thread is priceless. Who writes this stuff? I just wanted others who never read it to experience the laugh I had when I read it. With the increasing rates of "depression" in America, I was just trying to do my part to quell it.

i love this forum, but it seems that the powers that be want to destroy everything that makes this forum so enjoyable...if that's what it comes to, i just want to say...

i hope to meet you fellers in the water someday , we will know ourselves by our SI names...I'm really going to miss the time that we had here.

and a big BOO goes out to the people that want to put a damper on the fun...you have ruined probably the best forum on the internet...period.

Yankee is right. Moderators didn't work too good last time. Why not just keep the political, religious and tinfoil hat threads out and permit good-natured tomfoolery?

 

Or what about creating a "dumb thread" box that all the Sh!t talking/political/religious threads gets dumped in.
I know someone suggested it somewhere else, but it could work... And make it so that those threads don't show up on the main page.
Then peeps can go talk tish if they want and have real discussions at other times. And it they bring the tish talking to the "serious" threads then they get banned.
