I am a Christian who thinks sonfollower has no idea what he's doing and is totally, totally wrong.Whether you believe Jesus is God or not,it is still also a non-biblical historical fact that Jesus Christ lived, had followers and was crucified, plus more details.

Whether you believe he is God or not, what he is quoted is that he says not to judge,he says there is no one righteous,he says to love one another,to love your enemies and to love others as yourself. He says love is the answer.I don't think anyone has a problem with that.

If sonfollower just did that and shut up,stuck to surf topics on swellinfo and focused on loving others instead of preaching his misguided heresy, maybe we'd donate to FREE SURFBOARDS.

Who wants to bet that if I were to start a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting old, unused surfboards and donated them to younger children interested in surfing, BUT LEFT ALL THE RELIGIOUS NONSENSE OUT OF IT, I would get WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY more surfboards than our buddy Wayne here?

I'm guessing he's aware of that possibility but the religious part matters to him. That part of it doesnt really appeal to me, but it doesn't really bother me if it appeals to him.

wasn't me,dude,it was kookie post #155.and it's not,as you say,'interesting,' it's awful what you've done and you need to admit it and apologize to everyone on this thread.Jesus would never have done any of what you have done here.

What i'm saying is that his over-zealous approach with his religious nonsense is hindering the positive side of the what he is trying to accomplish. I find his method rather deceptive, and his approach comes across as more of a "bribe" to young children. In my opinion, it seems like he is using surfing as a "tool" to solicit his religion rather than actually spreading the love and enjoyment of the sport.

This is not a bash on his personal beliefs in any way, i just feel that his methods are shady and don't seem to be on the level. Besides, this is a surf forum if right? Wayne would probably have better success and be greeted with a more positive vibe on some other religious forum.

The wee wayne man won't apologize & he won't let up; he really only cares that this thread keeps getting bumped, despite the guys who post are telling him he has his head up his rectum. He thrives in the attention even if it is from people who are dismayed or offended by his kiddie-grabbing ways. For wayne, it's all about the attention.

In that way, this thread is reminiscent of the Roy Stuart thread, aka Endless Winter, re: the $500k (or was it a million?) 'surfboard' that ended up as kindling for the most expensive beach bonfire anyone had ever seen.

    But wait!.....Wayne....Roy....Roy..Wayne....could it be?

Ok enough is enough. I believe in God and the bible. I do however agree with the many many members who have told you on this and the other forums you have posted on that your methods are flawed. Unless you simply hand over the board to the kids with no mention verbally, in print or any other way about religion then as said before they are not FREE. Leave the religion talk to to religious forums and church and just let the kiddies surf.

Hey after reading all this debate I had to get on my box as well. Giving is a great thing to do as a human being. To do this in some other manner is not giving, yet preaching smack! Whether Christian or heathen, doesn't matter, it's a goodness of giving to those that have not. We all want to be a better human someday I would think.
Give to give or don't . Don't do it under a false pretense for goods sake. Do it so all can see the great sport of surfing for a life time!

Z gaf , page one was one of the best written things I've seen in a while. Which ever political party is paying ya has a good aspect in life, whether they can comprehend it or not. Cudos to you.

Give the guy a break. You guys are all wringing your hands and now you've got me doing it. I'm not much on hand-wringing. He's not going to shave kids' hair off and get them to follow a comet to their eternal bliss with a glass of kool aid or anything. Yes, I agree he's a little stupid for seemingly enjoying the inflammatory nature of the whole thing here among surfers, but what do you care even if it is a means of getting money and following for a religious group and using surfboards to do so? I get it that religions have throughout history harbored a88holes who have killed countless others for their beliefs or lack thereof. Those are however, the a88holes. Plenty of other people out there (especially in this country) kill others and serve no one but themselves at least partially because they have no morals (like confederate flag dude mentioned) and whether we like it or not, many, not all mind you, but many get the moral direction that keeps us from having to deal with their selfishness or much worse, from some belief in something greater than themselves. They consider others' needs and wants as well as their own. Pretty foreign ideology for the "oh..me, me, me, meeeee!!!" generation, from which many of you folks hail, with your dumb vernacular streaming from the smartphone velcroed to your semi-literate noggins. Let's face it, this country is pretty much Babylon right now (and I'm not even a particularly religious guy). It does sound a little like Jesus himself and his own life when a person steps forward to try and help others see some light and joy in life and all you supposedly spiritual surfers all attack him. I believe Christ himself endured all of that, though not through the sterile environment of social media. And of course, some of you aren't even spiritual. You're like 18 (or worse, 40-something and still talk like you are) and you think of surfing like you so everything else in life....all for you, you're the coolest, most testosterone laden, chick banging stud in the world and you even have a skateboard for the days when you don't go out on two foot days on a 5-8 attempting repetitive silly looking aerials so that maybe the girls will look. Far too cool for Jesus anyway, you. If I meet Wayne I am going to buy him a beer. Jesus loved beer, I hear. I might even give him a wave. Nahh. It's the east coast. Waves are too scarce.

Tubesock, I give that a 2 thumbs-up. One thing I do not need is the beer. I can tell you this though, at one time in my life I thought like a lot of these guys. Guess what happened? Nahh they may throw me under the bus for it. I have to bite my tongue. Okay, I decided to follow Jesus instead of chasing the world. Yes that is what changed my life, accepting Jesus as my Savior.
