Opened up a bottle of Bonded Old Grand Dad bottled in 1964 for New Years. What a great whiskey. Butterscotch and caramel for days. I still love today's OGD, but it is nothing like the days when National Distillers still owned the brand. Every time I open one I am stunned.
Its a special anniversary - 1994 cheval blanc st emilion grand cru. been shelved for many, many years.

I'm going to do two fingers of red breast neat as a half time. I don't really drink red wine much outside of the odd dinner out with the lady, and truth be told cans of Bud are my go to, but tonight I'm drinking like a king! Also just got my dirty paws on some very nice dried plants which are green and purple and orange which should send me directly into three or four recorded episodes of down east ****ering in a coma.
