Good potato vodka. Not expensive either.

 

Wife and I visited the Alewerks Brewing Co. in Wmsburg the week before last. It's a small, nondescript place in an industrial park. Sampled Twenty Knots, Oktoberfest, Tavern Ale, Pumpkin Ale, and Red Marker. All were good.

Enjoyed a bottle of O'Connor (Norfolk brewery) Green Can golden ale the other day.

Lots of beer-related events and festivals in the Tidewater area this month. NAS Oceana is having one today.

I will affirm this recommendation of the oft beleaguered Codfish.

 

Brooklyn Lager is my go-to lately. Hoegaarten is my second...All foofed-up of course with a piece of lemon or orange.

 

New Total Wine just opened today, walking distance to my abode. (and now my trolls all know where to lurk)
Great store, really good prices overall. $12.99 for 12-pack of Dale's Pale Ale is a good price.

Pinner Throwback IPA is on the agenda for later, & either a Bordeaux or LaFrog.

 

Think I'm gonna drink cheap 100 proof vodka and tonics and shoot my longbow off my front porch...

I've had just about all the Oktoberfest beer I can handle for the season, I think i'll finish off my sixer today and change flavors for a while.
