Just checking in. Sitting around the backyard fire pit after dinner on a cool fall night, and it's Rolling Rock again.
Dogfish Head Pennsylvania Tuxedo. Burning some old vinyl to Mp3 The Byrds were an amazing timeless band....maybe it's the beer as well.
I tend to shop at that end of the beer aisle. Rolling Rock's there too. Can't get myself to pay $10 a sixer for overpriced, over-hopped swill. According to my wife, her Dad always had kept a small keg of the stuff in the garage fridge. Years later, he switched to Old Milwaukee. They lived in Rome NY (my Dad and Mom were also from that area). There, a man's worth is measured by the amount of venison in the freezer and the size of the wood stack in the backyard.
When I used to drink, I used to occasionally order a Southern Comfort Manhattan, straight up, with a maraschino cherry. Great drink to start the night, but only one. Or else you pay for it the next day....
