Tonight i'm going to switch it up and go with some red wine from Sonoma / Nappa Valley. I think we'll be having Cabernet Sauvignon with dinner. If I can find it, I'd like some from Artesa Vineyards and Winery. We were there like 5 years ago. Never tasted so many wines in my life. I didn't drink any wine for months after the trip but I learned what I like and don't like. Here's a look at the entrance to the place. I pulled this pic off the interweb... Pictures really don't do this place justice, it's a massive facility. Here's a few I snapped while I was there.
DP, that place looks like it would survive a nuclear strike. A bunker with thousands of barrels of prime vino....there really could be a wayne's deity after all!
No doubt man, I could think of worse places to be stranded with nowhere to go, just don't know if my liver would hold up to the abuse! HAHA Few more pics
Very interesting and impressive set up. First thing I thought was the entrance looked a lot like a converted old munitions storage bunker WW II gun emplacement.
Unfortunately I didn’t get any pics of the inside operations. I can’t rememeber if I was just too busy drinking or if we were prohibited from taking pics on the inside.
The drive up the mountain is a long winding road and you are in the middle of nowhere and then boom there it is.
Yesterday my wife and I went to Drive Shack in Lake Lona just outside Orlando. It’s very similar to Top Golf if you have been there, you know what I mean. I didn’t drink much but I did have me a double Jameson on the Rocks. We smacked golf balls for 3 hrs. The server gave us an hour for free, so only paid for 2 of those. Always a good time. This morning got up and played some tennis. Deciding on what I will drink for the football games today, as I puff this spliff.
Sipping on Jaegermeister tonight goes well with the cooling weather. Now to get a fire going in the fireplace...
Got the venison chili on! Gonna watch some football. And, bout to pour a Basil Hayden’s on the rocks to sip on.
One of a number of local craft brews being served at this weekend's Bluegrass and Brewfest in Hampton. Enjoyable winter sipping.
