Bought a board that has rusted in futures screws. The screw heads are semi stripped.. but the friggen screws are rusted? in frozen.. I can see a little rust around the edges. Anyone? Should I just not worry about it? The one fin has a little up and down wobble but wont come out.

use a dap of PB Blaster and dont use a fin key , use a allen wrench. Fin keys are made of a soft metal and are designed that way do the key will round off before the screw. Allend screw and made out of a harder steel and will bite harder.

It should come out no problem if you do it that way

you can always use a left handed drill bit and a screw extractor if all else fails

here is an interesting thought.... Hydrochloric acid does not react much at all with plastics, yet it reacts very strongly with metals. See where i am going with this? I wonder what a drop of HCL would do on that screw....

Just rip it out. Put some epoxy in the hole. Let it dry. Drill it out. re-tap with 10/32....done. Oh and get yourself a new screw.

It is so easy to do....even without repair skills. Just get it done.
