Ft.Story & Fishermans Island surf

    Has anyone ever surfed Fort Story or Fishermans Island. If so how are they? how do you even surf fisherman's without a boat? thanks

    I believe it is illegal to step foot on the beach @ fisherman's island since it is a sanctuary - so you will have a real hard time without a boat

    I know people that have and they've scored nice long lefties. You must have a boat. Not allowed to set foot on the beach. Other Virginia barrier islands are also excellent. Need a boat to get to those as well or its a long paddle across the channels and estuaries. I've seen the spot from the Chesp. bridge/tunnel would love to get a boat and surf there sometime.
