Fun swell in VB today

yeah... i've been watching that cam. It's looked pretty good most of the afternoon...but so crowded! Seen some guys blatantly drop in on each other.

 

Hopefully some leftovers tomorrow morning. I decided that I'll be "sick" tomorrow.

 

It was a nice break from the flat spell. I think the sections at 1st St were more makable than North End, where the offshore winds made it interesting. For all of the size, your timing had to be on to get into the drop and once on it, there wasn't a lot of push.

With all that said, I'd take it over flatness, anyday!!!!

 

I surfed the pier today. She was cold but well worth it! Took the pics right before dark. Enjoy.

I was gonna say VB was probably ****ty but nice pics and OCMD looked about the same during early- mid afternoon. 4-6 ft and dumpy but some really good rights and lefts if you don't mind 38 degree water.

Nice photos... makes me miss home. Trips and exotic locations are cool but in my opinion NOTHING beats scoring at home especially when you do it while others can't or won't. Made all the more sweet by the photographic evidence. Thanks Lee.

 

I surfed Pendelton for a hour or so before heading to 1st street. Got there around 10 or so and every wave coming off the rocks was a pitchy heavy little mini-slab barrel. Alot of skill out there. Frustrating for me, left my mojo and hood at the house. Just thankful to get out finally!

Dang... it looked like it was a fun day to be out! I was stuck working.

How cold was it out there (scale of 1-10) and what were you wearing? I haven't been out since November.

 

Its actually been a little warmer this week, yesterday was not bad
