Walden's doing a lot of PR, starting in Hawaii. If he can get positive stuff going there....guess what...

This quote kills me. Pretty much what to expect in your lineup with this 'innovation:'

"...he was joined out in the water with his 69 year old mom who body boarded on some pretty sweet waves with a little Wavejet boost."

Its possible that it is illegal in Oregon to operate motorized watercraft in the surf zone, in California this is true and those %$#@ "boards" are stuck 100 yards from the surf zone. The lifeguards flip out when they get near a person. Walden wont get any respect in Hawaii for bringing someone out to the lineup who uses a motor to catch waves. Love to see how the north shore locals handle that, they are not the Good Sam club. Best to keep your distance and let that noisy, electrical field-producing meat plate attract the curious (and they will be curious) sharks away from you, especially here in Oregon. I would encourage anyone riding those to 1. Stay away from me. 2. Don't be disrespectful of the ocean by thinking that your motorized board will save you, or make up for any lack of experience. We as surfers take for granted that our playground will kill you if you are ignorant or not paying attention. Just a matter of time till some poor inlander dies attached to one of those.
