So finally moving along on the glassing of the hollow wooden mini simmons. Plenty of thought and procrastination went into this one but once I got going it went pretty well.

I plan on glassing the fins on and was wondering what point to do this? Right about now or after the hot coat? My thoughts are to hot coat then rough up the areas where the fins will go then glass them in.

Am I out of order on this or is this the way to go?

Looks plenty good so far. Ive never attempted a build like yours but swaylocks.com has loads of threads on those as well as answers to just about any oher shaping/glassing question you might have. Good work and good luck!

Glass ons are mounted after lamination before the hotcoat. This gives them a way better bond then trying to attach to the sanded hotcoat.

Looks great man! Seems you got a pretty good concave on the bottom too.
