The forecast was thunderstorms, nearly flat conditions. Our motto is Go Before We Know... What a nice surprise! Sunny, warm air, 79F water, light off shores, knee highs, some thigh highs, so clean. Yummy! What a nice way to christen my new longboard. It moves Very Fast. I have a temporary 5" fin that allows for shallow surfing too. It's 9'2" X almost 3" X 24-25" wide. VERY light epoxy and such pretty lavender and purple colors. What a perfect morning Life is Good.
Actual afternoon conditions on Thurs & Fri here were much better than the Surf Line forecasted "poor" or "very poor", 1-2 ft and choppy. Neither day was particularly choppy. Thurs was waist high, Friday was waist to chest. Fun stuff. I was the only one out on both days.
New boards are awesome fun. Ride it with pleasure!! BTW Betty, hurricane season will soon be upon us!! May we get many OFFSHORE storms that sit there for days to give lots of head high surf......
