A little more west is alright with me but the path looks decent regardless. Once again I will expect the worst and hope for the best. That seems to work well on the East Coast.

Wtf. Nothing happens for weeks then I'm set to leave town and the hype train rolls on with consecutive TS's.

This weekend was pretty fun. 10-11 second periods, perfect weather. Water still hovering around 79ish. Clearest water I have seen here all year. Few nice barrels, few ruined rides by teenage girls and a cannon ball into a school of baby blacktips. Fun times. If we get some bigger juice later this week, I will be on cloud 7 or 8.

Looking pretty promising as far as strength and track are forecasted so far even though we are a ways out. Potential to be a category 3 should definitely mean some long period swells for the east coast. Hoping for some head high+ to be a memorable weekend. Hoping these winds stay west as they are predicted to be over that three day stretch. Unfortunately we wont see anything like Hurricane Marie produced at the Wedge lol

Thats wild. I surfed all morning when the tide was coming in yesterday. It was light offshores, sheet glass and little workable shoulders everywhere with groomed little "crouching tiger hidden shacks". Had a freaking blast yesterday...

Just went out the past two hours on an extended lunch break. A "little" more size, but the wind is out of the SSE and there was texture on it. longer walls that required very fast surfing to get around or tucked into. I would take yesterday 10 times over today... But oh well. At least I was able to shortboard.

The rest of the week looks like it could be decent. I am seeing all green and chest+ from thursday on.... fingers crossed.

Yes, I have yet to see footage of any EC hurricane that rivals those solid ones that grace the west coast. Ugh. Didnt the pacific run out of letters already? Are they starting to name the storms in Chinese yet? Those good pacific swells leave the entire coast in the 12-15 foot range.... Every point and reef for a 1000 miles firing. Ugh... When I lived out there, I never even looked at the names of the storms or anything. You just look at the forecast. Ohh, another 4 day giant swell. Sweet. Never really cared where it came from.

They do get some great swells out on the west coast for sure but I can't complain about the east coast cause when its firing on our side it couldn't be more fun. Sometimes we have to wait quite some time for decent waves especially when summer hits and it dies down but that just makes it better when a good forecast is in sight.

Yeah, no doubt. Its just unfortunate that there are only a couple of spots along the entire eastern seabaord that can handle any kind of long period, substantially sized ground swell. The west coast has hundreds of points and reefs that can handle anything you throw at it....
